Coming Home to Leadville

Mountains East off Hwy 24 into Leadville

On Monday, the first day of June, I arrived in Leadville for the Summer, and after being away for 9 months it felt like coming home. From the snow capped mountains off Hwy 24 into Leadville, to its historic downtown, Coffee on the Hill, Quincy’s steak house, Tennessee Pass cafe, Leadville Outdoors, and the Leadville Race Series headquarters, it seemed like time stood still. And though I know it was a long Winter for all my friends in Leadville, I am ready for Summer adventures on the trails.

This Summer, I am toeing all of these races with one goal — to finish the Leadville Trail 100 Mile Run:

81 days until the LT100 and this Cowboy ain’t leaving town without a finisher’s buckle!
